A new group of teachers willing to conduct elective courses in Scratch in their schools in the 2016/2017 academic year was trained in the Hi-Tech Park. The training was held on August 25 within the educational project Programming is the New Literacy.

48 teachers from 15 secondary schools of Vitebsk and Grodno regions successfully completed training and will begin teaching Scratch in Orsha, Baran, Vitebsk, Vasilishki, Voronovo, Novopolotsk, Krasnoselsk, and Lida on September 1.

First certified Scratch trainers completed a training course in the Hi-Tech Park from August 9-12. The training course is part of the educational project Programming is the New Literacy.

On April 23, Orsha hosted the finals of the national contest Programming in Scratch. The contest was held in three categories: World of Animation, Quest Game, and Educational Project in Scratch. 295 projects were submitted by school students from all regions of Belarus.
