First Training in Scratch for Teachers Launched in HTP Educational Center

Within the framework of the national educational project Programming is the New Literacy, a training course for Scratch teachers was launched in the HTP Educational Center on October 24.

The course will last 5 days for the participants to obtain skills necessary for organizing and conducting classes in Scratch.

The Programming is the New Literacy project provides for two programs for school electives – "Creative Activity in Scratch" and "Developing Computer Games in Scratch".

During the course, the participants will learn how to work creatively in Scratch, how to organize classes and asses students' creative works. To complete the course, each teacher will have to present scenarios of a class.

On October 27, those who will successfully complete the course will receive certificates. The teachers also will get an access to methodological and practical material at www.scratch.by.

The next training course for teachers will start on November 14, 2016.
