Initiative of the Year: Programming is the New Literacy

When summing up the results for 2016, Belarusian portal for IT professionals dev.by named the Programming is the New Literacy project the initiative of the year.

"What historical perspectives are there for the country with no subject like Scratch in primary school when compared to those which have Scratch in their primary education curricula? Think of it!" – urges Leo Lozner, co-founder of EPAM, who advocates introduction of the essentials of programming into the national curriculum.
