Time to Scratch!

The Hi-Tech Park invites school students to participate in the Programming in Scratch competition!



Students aged 7-14 (as of 24.03.2017) are welcome to participate.

The competition is conducted in the following categories:

Young Scratcher
Students aged 7-8 are invited to present animated projects in Scratch. The topic is of your choice.

World of Animation
Students aged 9-10 are welcome to submit individual animated projects based on a poem, narrative, tale or other literary work which students study during classes in Belarusian, Russian, Belarusian Literature, Russian Literature, English.

Computer Game
We invite students aged 11-13 present their computer games developed in Scratch.

Educational Project in Scratch
Students aged 12-14 are to submit individual educational projects focused on a topic which students study at Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

Each participant may submit only one project.

To participate, please fill out the application form.
NB! Applications must be submitted since 20.03.2017 till 24.03.2017.

The finals, including open presentation of projects, will be held in Orsha, Vitebsk Region on April 8, 2017.

The winners will be awarded diplomas and prizes.

For reference:
The competition is initiated to encourage school students' interest in studying information technologies, teach them to think creatively and systematically and inspire to get ICT professions.
The competition is organized by the Hi-Tech Park, the Education Department of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee, and the Department of Education, Sport and Tourism of the Orsha District Executive Committee.
Scratch is a visual programming language used to teach school children to code computer programs. Scratch is currently free and available to everyone.
